A native New Yorker from an Italian family, Tracey Cole has loved cookies for as long as she can remember. She grew up enjoying her grandmother's cheesecake and fig cookies, Neopolitan bars, and classic NY black and white cookies, and she sharpened her baking skills at an early age.  After spending the first decade of her post-college life as a geriatric social worker, which included a move from New York to Austin in 2003, Tracey and her husband, Allan, started their family and she continued to bake almost daily.  Since founding Cookie Peace, Tracey bakes not only the Italian treats she loved growing up, but also new favorites, such as raspberry bars, Mexican wedding cookies, and French Macarons. She lives in Austin with her husband, two teenage daughters who help her bake, and three rescued dogs.
